Ramblings: Seeing Green

Do you ever find yourself loving a color...and then subconsciously everything you buy is suddenly THAT color? Well, when Spring arrived I found a jumbo purse/diaper bag that I loved the color of...sort of Skittles green. It made me feel a little brighter and peppier--especially since I was ready for winter to be done.

Then I happened to find these earrings on Etsy that I had to have (along with four other pairs, but that's another issue altogether). Plus, I loved that the color was described as 'wasabi.' Who wouldn't love wasabi earrings?

And today while I was at TJ Maxx looking for some containers to help me organize my office disaster, I happened to catch a glimpse of this skirt...and the rest is history. So me and Kermit got more than our love of Ms. Piggy in common. (And now I have to post Maddie's Halloween picture from a couple years ago when she dressed up like Ms. Piggy.)

It's not that easy bein' green;

Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.

When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold-

or something much more colorful like that.

It's not easy bein' green.

It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things.

And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're

not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water-

or stars in the sky.

But green's the color of Spring.

And green can be cool and friendly-like.

And green can be big like an ocean, or important

like a mountain, or tall like a tree.

When green is all there is to be

It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?

Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!

And I think it's what I want to be.

love green...love red and yellow more tho.

i'm still here if you can believe that. they keep pushing my arrival back later and later and now it looks like i won't be going tonight at all, just tomorrow for the actual induction. nothing like being pregnant for more and more and more days....whatever...

i WILL be back on Sunday but you guys better not concoct (sp?) something too grand for me. Keep it small, like a trip to cancun just me and austin...you know, small stuff.

I love all your green things. And I just checked out Etsy. Great site. I just order 2 pairs of earing and 1 ring. I love your "diaper" bag? Where did you get it?

I got a cute little green wristlet for the summer and love it.

I love the green purse. I saw it in your Washington pics. Where's it from?

Yeah, the bag is from TJ Maxx and it's Liz CLaiborne I believe. THere were several different shapes and sizes in the same color and style. One of the best parts is that the lining is pink and white polka dot.

Yeah. I've got the same issue. With the same color. I LOVE that bag. Of course, I've already got 1 green purse and 4 green bags. Hmm...

Thank you for introducing me to the wonders of Etsy. Now if I could only find enough reasons to own so many cute bags I found on there...I don't think that'll happen but I'm sure my husband won't mind me getting a new one every once in a while... Love the green by the way!!
